Good
Afternoon Everyone,
My father was diagnosed with Hodgkins Disease when I was 10 Years
old. Unfortunately he was not a survivor. He passed away April of
1971. So
Cancer has been a word in my family from a very early stage of my
life. First,
I would like to say I have participated in a cancer walk about 5 years
ago with friends and my daughter. It
was the most wonderful experience of my life to help the cause. We
walked all night long for 3 days. We won awards for best camp site
and dance performance. Willy Wonka was our camp theme. Grease Lightening
was our dance routine. Plus, we had loads of money donated for we
had a Pool Tournament. It
was a huge success! That
was just the beginning...
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is October of every year. I was listening
to the radio...97.3 the COAST and Julie Guy...and they were talking
about this. When
they mentioned about PASSIONATELY PINK ON THE COAST day and everyone
in the office wearing pink, a light bulb went off in my head. Right
there I knew our office is one of the greatest to contribute to this
cause.
Pink
Day is designated for Friday, October 20, 2006...which everyone knows
is my Birthday. I
would like to ask everyone in the office to participate with me in
wearing pink for the day.
You
have treated me so kind for my previous Birthdays and I Thank Every
One Very Much. So now I am going ask you something, instead of celebrating
my Birthday, Friday...I would like to ask for you to give a dollar
donation to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. I
want to thank you all from the bottom of MY PINK HEART...
You know Pink Means Love.........
Thank
You,
Diane
